Glory Goodness Church History
Glory Goodness Church seed started as Pastor Dean Nguyen's obedience in answering the call to the mission field in 1981, “Here I am, send Me!” Being faithful to the call, he continued to walk out the calling and election in different parts of the ministry until he met his wife, Pastor Betty Dang, in 1991 at the Vietnamese Youth Christian Association camp. He was one of its founders there and his wife was on the board of directors. Pastor Betty Dang's calling and election came through devotions and bible studies, time alone with the Lord as He commissioned her in 1998 through Isaiah chapter sixty-one.
In May 1999, they married their best friends. Together, they committed their four children to the Lord while naming, Joshua, Caleb, Elijah, and Lydia under the family slogan of Jesus Christ Everlasting Love. While raising their children and caring for their elderly parents, they purposefully laid the family foundation for their children in the admonition of the Lord while continuing to serve in different ministries. During this season of life, Pastors Dean Nguyen and Betty Dang have touched many youth and families who are both Americans, Vietnamese Americans, or Vietnamese while anchoring through different bible correspondences.
True to His word in Psalm 19:7-11, “I will catapult you out into the harvest field,” pastor Betty Dang heard. While the Lord said to pastor Dean Nguyen, “You have been faithful in taking care of your parents. Now go! Take care of my sheep.” In 2017, Glory Goodness Church received its 501(c)3 status formally. Today, it serves as a Fort for those who fall under the banner of Luke 18-19, giving Glory and Goodness to our Lord as “he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
